struggling to keep up

The last couple of months have been rather hectic and wearing. I’ve managed to write some, but I’ve mostly been fixing unexpected plot holes as I write, and not actually writing the novel itself. So really, about half the words written were for deepening character motivations or fixing plot problems. I suppose that’s to be expected on a second novel.
I had hoped to write a lot more than I did this summer, however moving out while working full time made advancing the plot at a steady clip difficult. But I’m hanging in there because the new story is worth the effort. I hope others feel the same way about it too when it’s done.
Ok, now it’s time to get back to the business of living.

my Goldentracks proof has arrived!

I’ve just received the first paperback proof of my novel. A cursory glance inside told me that it still needs some work with the tracking, margin width, and such. I also want to read it again for typos. Sometimes they jump out more in print than on screen. But if all goes well, it should be available to purchase before Christmas. 🙂

Yay! I’m super excited!
